The matchday programme of West Ham United Football Club is today once again named as the winner of our Programme of the Season Award.
The award has now been won by West Ham United in each of the last two years, and in three of the last four seasons, making it the most successful publication in the award’s seven year history.
Second place in the 2023/24 awards is taken by the programme produced by Newcastle United (who have moved up a spot in the ranking, having finished third last season), while Sheffield United’s issue takes the Bronze Award this time around.
West Ham have once again delivered the goods, with an exceptional programme, packed full of interesting content, which earned 39 points out of a possible 40 in our ratings. Programmes are awarded points for excellence across four areas of marking – Design, Original Content, Opposition Coverage, and Club Information.
For the Hammers to have maintained such a high standard in recent times is an impressive achievement and our congratulations go to the whole team responsible for putting together each issue.
Newcastle’s programme once again impressed with its fascinating historical articles, while Sheffield United’s issue also deserves great credit for the quality and quantity of original writing.
Once again, the standard of this season’s matchday publications is remarkably high, with honourable mentions also due to the programmes issued by Fulham and Manchester United, which finished just outside the top three.
You can read our reviews of our award winners for the season on our 2023/24 page, together with the marks given to each club’s issue.
The Programme of the Season Award is in its seventh year. In addition to West Ham’s three wins, the other previous winners are Burnley, Fulham, Norwich City, and Leicester City. A full history of our end of season awards can be found here.
